CREUS has worked on a number of institutional and recreational projects and have recognized the differing needs of those projects. We have worked with architects and landscape consultants to address public and user needs in these projects.

Collingwood School Expansion, West Vancouver, BC
Client: Collingwood School

Description: A 10-acre, private school on mountainside terrain in West Vancouver. This has been a multi phased development of which Creus has been Civil Engineer of Record on each phase. Includes access onto existing arterial road, main building, outbuilding, parking lot and sports field. This project has involved the design, approvals, construction and inspection of the servicing, parking and stormwater works for the first two phases of work. Currently working on expansion of parking area, sports field and stormwater design elements

CREUS Member Roles: The Engineer of record for all the preliminary and detailed civil, sediment and erosion control and Stormwater Management elements of the project. CREUS members managed the tender and construction of the works and provided inspection for all ongoing and completed civil works.
Holy Trinity Elementary School, West 27th Street North Vancouver, BC
Client: Holy Trinity Elementary

Description: A Catholic elementary school in the Upper Lonsdale area of North Vancouver. CREUS members designed the site grading, Stormwater Managed, offsite servicing, and the traffic management procedures. The project includes plans for a future sports field adjacent to the school entrance.

CREUS Member Roles: CREUS members completed the design of all civil works and are responsible for inspections through to completion.
Quest University, Squamish, BC
Client: Sea to Sky University Foundation

Description: A 240-acre, mixed use development with a full service university, resident housing, market housing, sports field, wetlands, creek crossings and significant off-site works. This project has involved the design, approvals, construction and inspection of several kilometers of road, the grading and servicing of the core university buildings, grading for resident housing buildings, integration of geothermal heat system, tie into existing water system and add equalization reservoir, pump station and storage water for domestic system.

CREUS Member Roles: The Engineer of record for all the preliminary and detailed civil, sediment and erosion control and Stormwater Management elements of the project and managed the tender and construction of the works, providing inspection for all ongoing and completed civil works.
Children's and Women's Health Centre, Vancouver, BC
Client: Sahuri & Partners Architecture Inc.

Description: The Research Imaging Project for Women's and Children's Health Care. The new building is to have a footprint of about 400sqm and will feature a new parking area and landscaping.

CREUS Member Roles: CREUS is responsible for the design of municipal service connections, site grading, the parking lot, sidewalk, and tie-ins to existing infrastructure.
Connaught Park, Vancouver, BC
Client: Vancouver Board of Parks & Recreation

Description: A multi-use public park in the Kitsilano area of Vancouver. Existing facility upgrades to the east field which hosts a range of activities including rugby, soccer, fast-pitch softball and cricket.

CREUS Member Roles: CREUS was the project manager and managed the design of the drainage and irrigation systems, with input from landscape and irrigation specialists. The field required a new irrigation and drainage system, as well as investigation into existing settling conditions, poor field material drainage, and various other stakeholder concerns. The works involved the regrading of the entire field area and installation of an engineered field surface.
Winona Park, Vancouver, BC
Client: Vancouver Board of Parks & Recreation

Description: A multi-use public park immediately south of Langara Golf Course in Vancouver. Existing facility upgrades to the south field which hosts a range of activities including rugby, touch football, and ultimate frisbee.

CREUS Member Roles: CREUS was the project manager and managed the design of the drainage and irrigation systems, with input from landscape and irrigation specialists. The field required a new irrigation and drainage system, as well as investigation into poor field material drainage and various stakeholder concerns.
Mulgrave School, Cypress Bowl Road, West Vancouver, BC
Client: Mulgrave School

Description: A 5-acre, private school on mountainside terrain in West Vancouver. This has been a multi phased development of which we have been Civil Engineers on each phase. Includes access onto existing provincial highway road, temporary building, main building, outbuilding, parking lot and sports field. This project has involved the design, approvals, construction and inspection of the servicing, parking and stormwater works for the first two phases of work. Currently working on expansion of parking area and auxiliary building servicing and stormwater design elements.

CREUS Member Roles: The Engineer of record for all the preliminary and detailed civil, sediment and erosion control and Stormwater Management elements of the project. CREUS members managed the tender and construction of the works and provided inspection for all ongoing and completed civil works.
Kiwanis Village, Gordon Avenue, West Vancouver, BC
Client: Kiwanis Seniors Housing Society

Description: The second phase of a Seniors Housing Development that is raising the standard for low income seniors' living on the North Shore. This phase of the project will increase the development's capacity by approximately 135 units.

CREUS Member Roles: CREUS members are responsible for civil servicing requirements, Stormwater Management, offsite roadworks, and cost estimates for relevant project components. Creus members will manage the tender and construction of the civil works and provide inspection for all ongoing and completed civil works.
